Kiwanis members fighting tetanus around globe - 10/14/2014

Small change can make a world of difference.  

“A woman and her unborn children are protected by the mother receiving a series of three shots at 60 cents each,” explained Spring Valley Kiwanis Club member Nancy Cornell, speaking of the Eliminate Project, a collaborative effort with UNICEF to combat the statistic that seven newborn babies die each hour as a result of maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT).

Kiwanis name Citizens of the Year - 11/11/2012
John and Darlene Vrieze of Spring Valley have been named the 2012 Citizens of the Year by the Spring Valley Kiwanis Club. They will be honored in a program at the community center on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m.

Key Club members to raise funds as trick-or-treaters for Eliminate Project - 10/20/2012
"Trick or treat, or in Key Club's case, donate," said Kingsland Key Club member Sara O'Connell, outlining the mission of the big kids clad in bed sheets who will be ringing doorbells across Spring Valley and Wykoff this Halloween. More information here.

Kiwanis Club donates trauma dolls to ambulance service - 09/22/2012
